Insights and Detection (people analytics)

Insights and Detection is ReFresh's people-analytics surface that turns survey data into wellbeing and risk signals at both an organisation-wide and a team level. It is available on plans that include Insights and needs a connected data feed.

Insights and Detection (/app/detection) is ReFresh's people-analytics surface. It turns your survey data into wellbeing and risk signals, at two levels:

  • Organisation (/app/detection/organization): a whole-of-company view.

  • Team (/app/detection/team, and each team's own page): the same analysis drilled into a single team.

A higher-tier feature that depends on a connected data feed: Insights and Detection is available on plans that include Insights; it is not part of every plan. It also needs a connected data feed to populate: without one, the views load but show no data. This article is a light overview of what the surface offers rather than a step-by-step guide. If your plan includes Insights and you have a feed connected, the sections below describe what you'll see.

Each level has a period selector (the confirmed option is Weekly) and a Generate Report button.

Read-only analytics: Detection is a view onto your data, not a place you edit anything. Everything here is derived from survey responses: there are no actions to take on this surface; you act in the underlying modules (surveys, risks, controls, tasks).

The organisation view

The organisation view ("Organisation: Gain insights into your organisation's performance") summarises the wellbeing and risk signal across your whole workforce. When populated it includes:

  • A company/organisation health score: a single headline read of organisational wellbeing.

  • An Emotional Analysis section with three segments: Features, Burnout (a heatmap), and Cognitive (harder behavioural metrics calculated from calendar saturation, after-hours messages, cognitive strain, and communication volume).

  • A Workload Index × Productivity Index scatter.

  • A Team Performance Ladder and Recent Achievements.

The team view

The Team view ("Team Analytics: Monitor and analyze your team performance") starts as a searchable directory of teams (with a Create Team button); drilling into a team applies the same analysis to that single team. It surfaces team-level wellbeing signals (morale, sentiment, and burnout among them) so you can compare teams and find the ones that need attention.

What gates the analytics

Three things control what you see:

  • Your plan. Detection is a plan entitlement: it's available on plans that include Insights, so not every plan will see it.

  • A connected data feed. The analytics are derived from a live data feed. Without one, the views stay empty.

  • The five-response floor. As with all ReFresh wellbeing analytics, a group's results stay hidden until at least five people have completed the relevant survey. This protects individual confidentiality. Below the floor, you'll see a threshold message rather than data. See Anonymous and identified responses.

Wording you'll see on this surface: The Detection UI uses wellbeing-science terms such as "Emotional Analysis", "sentiment", "morale", and "burnout". These describe patterns derived from survey responses in aggregate; ReFresh does not read individual emotions or monitor individuals, and the five-response floor keeps every result anonymous.
