What you can import via CSV
Entity | CSV import |
Employees | Yes: Settings → Employees → Import from CSV (bulk import can auto-create the groups it references) |
Groups | Yes: from the Groups settings page |
Documents and policies | Individual upload or template fill-in (not a bulk CSV load) |
Frameworks and controls | No: these come from the ReFresh library |
Historical incidents | No |
Historical surveys / responses | No |
Risk-assessment history | No |
Each supported entity has an in-product CSV template. Use it exactly: ReFresh validates every row before import and flags any that fail.
No risk-register CSV import: CSV import exists only for Employees and Groups. The risk register does not support CSV import: add risks via Custom Risk Assessment or by adopting items from the Scenario Library.
How CSV import works
Open the relevant page (e.g. Settings → Employees, or the Groups settings page).
Select Import from CSV.
Download the template.
Fill it with your data.
Upload the completed template.
Review the validation summary.
Confirm to commit.
Rows that fail validation are flagged with an explanation; correct them and re-upload.
What you can export
Output | Format |
Reports (board report, on-demand reports) | PDF or PPTX, from the Reports module |
Current-state data (e.g. risk register) | Via a report in the Reports module |
Documents and policies (current versions) | Individual file download from each item |
Audit trail | Per-entity Activity Log; not bulk-exportable as a single file |
For data exports outside the report formats, contact your ReFresh account contact.
What isn't supported today
Bulk migration of legacy risk registers: there is no risk-register CSV import; enter existing risks via Custom Risk Assessment or by adopting Scenario Library items.
Historical incident migration: prior incidents from an old system can't be bulk-loaded.
Survey archives: prior survey data can't be imported.
Raw database export: data isn't exposed as a database dump. For programmatic access, contact your ReFresh account contact.
