Managing notifications

Configure email and SMS notifications for compliance events: task due dates, policy review cycles, worker acknowledgement reminders, and audit alerts. Choose which events trigger notifications and who receives them.

Written by Harrison Kennedy

ReFresh sends notifications by email today. Workers are notified about surveys and policy sign-offs; admins are notified about overdue tasks, control reviews, and incident updates. In-app and mobile notifications are on the roadmap.

  • Email is the only notification channel today

  • Workers receive emails for survey invitations and policy sign-offs

  • Admins receive emails for tasks, reviews, and incident updates

  • Notification cadence is set by ReFresh and not currently customer-configurable

  • In-app and mobile notifications (Roadmap)

Email channel today

All notifications are delivered by email to the address on the recipient's account (the verified personal email or work email, depending on your account configuration).

If you are not receiving expected emails:

  • Check your spam folder

  • Confirm your email is verified (Profile → Email Addresses)

  • Confirm your administrator has not disabled email for your account

  • Check that your IT team has not blocked emails from app.refresh.tech

Roadmap

In-app notifications (a notification bell in the top bar) and mobile push notifications are on the roadmap. Customer-side notification preference configuration (turning specific notification types on or off) is also planned.

Notifications via Slack and Microsoft Teams

If you connect Slack or Microsoft Teams (see "Connecting Slack and Microsoft Teams", 8.4), you can configure ReFresh to post specific event types to specific channels. This effectively gives you a second notification channel without waiting for native in-app notifications.
