The library holds a broad set of pre-built controls aligned to the frameworks ReFresh supports.
Each control has a short code (for example,
GOV-14), a description, a hierarchy level, a requirement level, and a renewal frequency.Controls are shared across frameworks: one control can satisfy obligations in several frameworks at once.
Controls link to the risk scenarios they mitigate.
The Controls page shows your overall completion at the top.
Don't rely on exact counts: The number of controls, categories, and mappings grows as ReFresh adds framework coverage. Always read the current totals from the app rather than a fixed figure.
Opening the Controls page
Go to /app/controls. The page shows:
Your overall completion percentage, with a legend for the control statuses.
A Search box that filters by name or description.
A Filter and Sort bar.
A note explaining the current sort order, for example, prioritising overdue and due-soon items first, then by hierarchy level.
A table of controls.

Control status: Status is calculated from the control's evidence and renewal cadence; it is not a manual field, and it is not the same as the control's effectiveness. Effectiveness is a separate qualitative rating; see Control effectiveness.
Control categories
Each control carries a Category (for example, "Governance"), shown on the control's detail page. A control's short-code prefix (for example, GOV-14) indicates its category. Categories cover different kinds of measure, such as programme structure and oversight, workload and role clarity, procedural rules, capability building, and physical or structural conditions.
Read category names from the app: The exact category names and how they're grouped grow as ReFresh adds framework coverage. Open a control's detail page to see its category rather than relying on a fixed list. The main Controls Filter narrows by status, review, framework, and hazard, not by category.
Controls are shared across frameworks
A single control can satisfy obligations across multiple frameworks. When you activate a new framework, ReFresh instantly maps your existing controls to its obligations and surfaces any gaps, so you're not re-doing work you've already evidenced.
For example, if you already have controls in place for a state psychosocial code and you then activate ISO 45003, ReFresh shows which existing controls already cover the ISO 45003 obligations and which are still missing.

Search filters by name or description.
Filter narrows by status, review, framework, and hazard.
Sort orders by ID, name, evidence progress, or status.
The current sort is shown above the table; clearing the smart sort lets you sort manually.
