Managing your account and security

My ReFresh has two settings pages for your own account: Account, where you update your profile, and Security, where you set your password and turn on two-factor authentication.

Written by Taylor Laing
  • Account: your profile details

  • Security: password and two-factor authentication

  • Two-factor authentication uses an authenticator app (TOTP)

  • There is no notifications page in the worker portal; ReFresh emails go to your work inbox

Your account profile

The Account page holds your personal profile details in ReFresh. You can update your profile photo, First Name, Last Name, and Personal Email. Changing your personal email includes a verification step before it takes effect. The Account page also has Manage Cookies for your cookie preferences. Update a field and save your changes.

Your password and two-factor authentication

The Security page is where you protect your login. Password and two-factor authentication are independent: you can change your password at any time, whether or not two-factor authentication is set up.

  • Password: change your account password here

  • Two-factor authentication (2FA): adds a second step at sign-in using a code from an authenticator app on your phone (TOTP). Use Enable to set it up and Remove to turn it off.

Setting up two-factor authentication

  1. Open Security in My ReFresh.

  2. Select Enable on Two-Factor Authentication.

  3. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app (for example, Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy).

  4. Enter the six-digit code from the app to confirm.

To turn two-factor authentication off again, use Remove on the Security page.

Notifications

There is no notifications-preferences page in the worker portal. ReFresh sends surveys and policy sign-off requests to your work inbox by email. If you are not receiving them, check your spam folder and confirm your work email with your administrator.
