ReFresh is the psychosocial layer; your existing WHS system remains your physical-safety layer.
Your existing WHS system keeps handling physical safety; ReFresh handles psychosocial-specific investigation, controls, evidence, and reporting.
Workers don't need to switch systems for psychosocial reporting if your existing front-end already works for them.
Why this model exists
WHS regulation in Australia requires organisations to manage both physical and psychosocial safety. Most existing WHS systems are strong on physical safety (incidents, hazards, hazardous substances, equipment) but weren't designed for psychosocial risk.
ReFresh is purpose-built for psychosocial safety. Rather than replace your WHS system (disruptive and unnecessary), it runs alongside it and takes on everything psychosocial.
How the data flow works
Incident reported: either in your existing WHS system, or through the My ReFresh worker portal, depending on your configuration.
Routing: psychosocial matters flow to ReFresh; physical incidents stay in your existing WHS system.
Investigation in ReFresh: the structured psychosocial investigation workflow, including a Hierarchy of Controls assessment.
Controls and evidence in ReFresh: psychosocial controls live in ReFresh's control library, with supporting evidence held in Records.
Reporting in ReFresh: psychosocial board reports and regulator-ready packs.
Donesafe
Donesafe is an available EHS connector in ReFresh (listed in the integrations catalogue under the ehs category, with a full client behind it), so it can be configured to act as a data source alongside ReFresh.
To connect it, open the Integrations page, find Donesafe (under the ehs category), and select Connect.
An available connector: Donesafe is available to configure as an EHS connector; it isn't a headline, promoted integration. Check the connection and routing options shown on the card for your setup, and treat HRIS and SSO as the primary integrations story.
SafetyCulture, myosh, and other WHS platforms
These platforms aren't currently live connectors. Customers using them typically:
Configure their existing system to route psychosocial matters (by category) to a designated owner who logs them in ReFresh.
Export from the existing system and import into ReFresh on a defined cadence (see Importing and exporting data).
For the long term, ReFresh keeps expanding the catalogue. Use the Request card on the Integrations page to log a request for your specific WHS platform.
Requesting a new integration
The Integrations page includes a Request card ("100+ coming soon"). Open it and provide:
Integration name: the tool you want to connect (e.g. "SafetyCulture", "myosh").
What it does: the tool's main functionality.
Why it matters: the benefit of connecting it.
Select Send Request. ReFresh prioritises new connectors by customer demand.
