Configuring frameworks per group or location

Multinational and multi-state organisations layer jurisdiction-specific frameworks per group, with rollup to a single organisational view.

Multinational and multi-state organisations layer jurisdiction-specific frameworks per group, with rollup to a single organisational view. The configuration is set on the framework after activation; specific path is pending product team confirmation.

  • Configuration is per group, not per individual user

  • Activate the relevant frameworks first, then scope each to the right group(s)

  • ReFresh always defaults to the highest applicable standard across activated frameworks

  • A user assigned to multiple groups inherits the frameworks each group is scoped to

  • The org-wide rollup view is unaffected: it always shows the union of all activated frameworks

(Confirm internally: the exact UI path to configure framework scope per group has not been validated. The capability pack describes the feature; the screen has not been screenshotted in the help centre rebuild.)

When per-group configuration matters

Use per-group framework configuration when your organisation has:

  • Multi-state operations: a head office in NSW and a manufacturing site in Queensland, each subject to its state's psychosocial regulation

  • Multi-jurisdictional operations: an Australian parent company with a New Zealand subsidiary

  • Different sector requirements: a regulated entity (Comcare) operating alongside a non-regulated subsidiary

Per-group scoping ensures workers and managers see only the requirements that apply to them, while the organisation-level rollup shows the full picture.

How highest-applicable-standard works

When multiple frameworks apply to the same group (for example, Comcare and ISO 45003 for a federal agency), ReFresh aligns to the highest applicable standard. This means:

  • The most stringent requirement wins

  • The control register reflects the strictest version

  • Evidence that satisfies the strictest version automatically satisfies less strict variants

The result: you do not maintain separate control sets per framework. One stricter set covers everything.

Setting up per-group framework configuration

The recommended sequence is:

  1. Set up your groups (Settings → Groups). See "Creating and managing groups" (2.2).

  2. Activate the frameworks that apply to your organisation as a whole.

  3. Scope each framework to the relevant group(s) using the framework's configuration view.

If you cannot locate the per-group scope option, contact your ReFresh account contact.

Rollup behaviour

Regardless of how frameworks are scoped per group, the organisation-level views (Reports, Compliance Dashboard, Board Report) show the union of all activated frameworks. This means an Organization Admin always sees the full compliance posture; group admins see only their group's posture.
